Marriage*12 Jan 1882 Principal=Ida O. Powell1
Death*13 Mar 1886 Chapin Hall House, Hudson, St. Croix County, Wisconsin; It is with feelings of sincere regret that we chronicle the death of Benjamin W. Andrews formerly of this city, late of Perley, Wisconsin, which occurred at the Chapin Hall House in Hudson on Saturday, March 13th 1886 of disease of the lungs.

The deceased was born in the year 1817 at Lovell Maine, where his early years were passed. He was a graduate of the Scientific Department of Dartmouth College and commenced his career in the West as a Civil Engineer, but his health becoming impaired he was compelled to abandon that occupation. At the the organization of the Andrews & Perley Lumber Company a few years since he became one of the original stockholders, taking an active part in the management of its affairs and to his executive ability , rare business tact, energy, untiring application and perseverance is due, in a great measure, to flattering success with which the labors of this Company have been rewarded.

Mr. Andrews was for a number of years a resident of River Falls and with him many of our readers enjoyed a personal acquaintance, his genial temperament and common social qualities making him a general favorite wherever known. He was married January 12th, 1882 to Miss Ida O. Powell of this place and to them two children were born, a son, Dean and a daughter, Ada, a sweet little infant who preceded her father a few months to "the undiscovered country from whose born no traveler returns". To the wife an child who are left to mourn the departure from this life of a loving and indulgent husband and father, the most tender sympathy of the entire community is offered.

The remains were brought from Hudson to this city on Saturday evening train and conveyed to the residence of Miss Calista Andrews, where the funeral services, conducted by Rev. C. H. Rogers of the Congregational Church were largely attended on Tuesday afternoon by friends who assembled to pay their tribute of respect to the cherished member of the dead. From the Newport Daily News, Newport, Rhode Island:

Navy Identifies Man Lost At Sea Off Norfolk

James R. Brunskill, fireman, U.S.N. of the U.S.S. Purvis, has been identified by naval authorities as the man lost overboard at sea off Norfolk, Va., from that ship last Friday. His home address was 43 North Terrace, Fargo, N.D. His father, Fred Stanley Brunsill, has been notified.

Naval authorities said that Brunskill fell from the forecastle deck into the sea and was last seen in the wake of the ship. The Purvis put about but could not find him. He was not wearing a lifejacket.

Planes from Norfolk, assisted by the U.S.S. Woodson, U.S.S. Caberera and the U.S. S. Perry joined in the search which was abandoned at dusk when it was said by naval authorities that the man could not have survived in the cold Atlantic waters.
