Source: Claremont News, May 14, 1926:
Mrs. Betsy (sic) Squires, one of the pioneers of Claremont Street, passed away at the home of her son, Will Naylor, last Friday at the age of 88 after a long and lingering illness due to infirmities of old age.

Betsy Carpenter was born in Lincolnshire, England Dec. 31, 1838. The family came to America in 1847 and settled at Lockport, Ill. She was married to John Naylor on June 20, 1857 and three years later they moved to Steele county, Minnesota where they lived for about eight years. They also lived in Fillmore county for about 10 years before coming to Dodge County, where they settled on the farm where her son Will Naylor now lives.

There were eight children born to this union, the following who are left to mourn their mother's death: Mrs. Asprey of Eden, Mrs. Alice Chesley of Montana, and Mrs. Grems and Will and Chas. Naylor and Perry Naylor of Owatonna.

Mrs. Naylor later married Mr. Squires who has preceded her in death.

The funeral services were held at the Rice Lake church on Sunday afternoon. Rev. Walter E. Bridge of West Concord officiating. The body was laid to rest in the Rice Lake Cemetery.3,1
Burial* Rice Lake Cemetery, Claremont, Dodge Co.,, Minnesota; Section E. Spouse: John

Note: there seems to be another story that she is buried at Forest Hill Cemetery in Owatonna, Steele Co., Minnesota. Not sure what's correct.3
